When Is The Next Blood Moon, and Where To Watch It
On October 9, 2021, the series will be released in over 170 countries around the world under the title ‘Blue Period.’ The series will release new episodes every week for the first time ever for a Netflix anime program. With this, the first anime series to break ‘Netflix jail’ is ‘Blue Period,’ which premiered on Netflix in January 2019. However, when it comes to licensed anime series, the streamer has a track record of licensing titles like “Beastars” and “The Seven Deadly Sins,” but with a significant time gap between the program’s debut on Netflix and its global availability. The final episode of the “Blue Period” will debut on Netflix Japan on September 25, 2021, leaving just a two-week wait before it becomes available to Netflix subscribers around the world.
The release date for the series is also unknown. Because of this, there will not be an English dub of ‘Blue Period’ when the show debuts, and it is unlikely that one will be available immediately after its conclusion. The first episode of the anime will be in Japanese with the original Japanese voice cast.
What Is Blue Period?
Tsubasa Yamaguchi’s best-selling manga is the source material for the upcoming anime series. Following a popular high school kid who excels in classes but is ultimately dissatisfied with his phony accomplishments, the film’s ‘Blue Period’ follows. Yatora Yaguchi was inspired to paint after stumbling across a painting in his high school’s art club. The Yatora series follows Yatora into the tough world of art as he strives to perfect his trade and discover his interest in painting.
Yamaguchi has published 11 volumes of “Blue Period” to date, with only the first four having been released in English. In 2017, after the conclusion of her debut series, “She and Her Cat,” Yamaguchi began releasing one-off chapters on a monthly basis. The film was based on the novel written by Makoto Shinkai, who previously wrote and directed ‘Your Name.’

Blue Period Cast
Only the original Japanese cast for Blue Period has been revealed so far. Hiromu Mineta is the main character in ‘Yatora Yaguchi,’ as well as Yumiri Hanamori in ‘Demon Slayer.’
Daiki Yamashita, Kengo Kawanishi, Yume Miyamoto, Masaya Fukunishi, Shin’ichiro Kamio, Tatsumaru Tachibana, Mayu Aoyagi and Fumi Hirano are among the cast. Yotasuke Takahashi is played by Daiki Yamashita
