When Will The Afterparty Season 2 Release?
The show was renewed for a second season in March 2022. On April 27, 2022, it was announced that the second season will have 10 episodes – two more than the first season – which is set to focus on a mysterious murder happening during a wedding. Joining Miller as co-showrunner, Anthony King has also been added to the mix for the show’s upcoming season.
The second season of the show is premiering on Friday, April 28, 2023 with two new episodes. Tune in each week until the finale on June 23 to catch all the exciting new content. Don’t miss out!

Tiffany Haddish is back and better than ever for The Afterparty Season 2! Fans of the hit show will be thrilled to know that detective Danner, played by Haddish, is returning for the sequel. Get ready for a roller coaster ride of laughs and excitement as we find out all of the new adventures Detective Danner has in store.
The amazing cast of Ilana Glazer as Chelsea, Jamie Demetriou as Walt, Ike Barinholtz as Brett and John Early as Detective Culp (Danner’s partner) are returning to their roles! Sam Richardson (Aniq) and Zoe Chao (Zoe) will also be an integral part of the show, with Ilana Glazer making another appearance as Brett’s girlfriend. Detective Germain, played by Reid Scott, works for the opposing side and is likely to make a comeback. Ben Schwartz’s character Yasper is the least likely to appear again but there remains a possibility of it happening.
In Season 2, some of the most interesting new characters to look out for are Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall and Vivian Wu.
Though the murder victim Xavier (Dave Franco) is unlikely to return, you may spot him in the background of some of the music videos which didn’t make it into the first season.
