Butler beat Oklahoma 66-62 in overtime Tuesday night after Chuck Harris hit a 3-pointer to take the lead and Simas Lukosius grabbed a crucial defensive rebound and hit a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left.
With 1:38 remaining, Elijah Harkless and Jordan Goldwire each hit 3-pointers to put the Sooners up 62-58. With 1:35 left, D.J. Hughes got a tip-in, and Harris stepped behind a screen and drilled an open 3 to put the Bulldogs ahead. Lukosius grabbed the rebound after Harkless drove for a layup that rolled off the rim. Aaron Thompson rebounded Umoja Gibson’s missed three-point attempt and made one of two free throws to set the final margin.
Oklahoma led 41-28 with 13:14 left in regulation, but Butler fought back, using a 9-0 run capped by a Harris three-pointer to cut the deficit to 44-41 midway through the half. Butler went on an 11-0 run that included a Lukosius 3 for the lead and a Harris jumper for a 52-49 lead with 22 seconds left after Jacob Groves hit a jumper and a 3. Goldwire cut Oklahoma’s deficit to one, but Lukosius answered with two free throws before Harkless forced overtime with a three-pointer with 2:02 left.

Butler was led by Harris, who finished with a season-high 26 points on 4 of 7 shooting from beyond the arc (6-3). Bryce Golden chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.
Oklahoma (7-2), which had a 26-game home win streak against nonconference opponents snapped, finished with 16 points from Harkless, 10 from Goldwire, and 10 from Tanner Groves.
