City on a Hill is revived for Season 3 by Showtime. The new season will premiere in Summer, 2022. As the show’s title suggests, this is the third season of the series, and it deals with the aftermath of the events of Season 2.

City on a Hill Season 3 has been renewed for a shortened run on Showtime. The series will return with eight episodes, the same amount of episodes as season 2. The series will begin airing on the network in 2022. The new season 3 will be produced by Lionsgate Television and will be based on the novel of the same name written by Philip Roth. The book is the second in his “American trilogy” series. The first book of the trilogy is The Human Stain. City on a Hill is a sequel to The Human Stain. The third book is The Dying Animal, City on a Hill is set in 1948, and is about the first year after Roth’s character graduates from college.

City On The Hill Release Date:
City On A Hill Season 3 Release date is on Mar, 2022. It’s a period drama-drama series, which is set in a small town of California. The series is based on the life of a police officer, played by the famous actor, Kevin Bacon. The Season 3 stars: Kevin Bacon, Will Lyman, Matt Lauria, Sarah Ramos, and Alex Fernandez.
Luckily compared to the wait between Season 1 and 2, fans likely won’t have to wait as long for the third season. The first season premiered in August 2019 while the second, delayed by the pandemic, arrived this March.
Knowing then that the production cycle for television takes about a year – including writing, shooting the series, post-production, then marketing – the likeliest point at which “City on a Hill” would return is either spring or summer 2022.
City On A Hill Plot:
The City on a Hill Season 3 plot will be about a group of 4 friends who have a crazy dream of creating a restaurant that serves food with their own secret sauce. The group of friends have been working together for the past 5 years to make their dream a reality. The group of friends have been lucky enough to have had an opportunity to work with a famous chef who has taught them everything they know about making great food. Now, it is time for the friends to finally open their restaurant.
Meanwhile, FBI Agent Jackie Rohr is sans badge, as he chucked it into the waters, “Dirty Harry” style, at the end of the last episode after ruining his career at the OPR meeting. Season 3 could see the agent going even further into corruption or even leaving the Bureau, heading out on his own. It’d be intriguing to see Jackie as a rogue agent of sorts after spending so long straddling the line between corruption and law.
City On A Hill Season 2 also set up strands of storytelling about the IRA as well as the corruption of the Catholic Church, both subjects that are very relevant to Boston history and could be explored masterfully in Season 3. For now, if you just want to catch up on the show, both seasons are streaming on Hulu.
City On The Hill Cast:
The majority of the regular cast will return for Season 3 of “City on a Hill,” including Aldis Hodge as DeCourcy Ward and Kevin. Also returning this season is the show’s ever-growing ensemble of guest stars, including previously announced guest stars Jon Favreau, Kathleen Turner, Liev Schreiber, and Rita Wilson, as well as new additions to the cast: Elizabeth Marvel (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother Where Art Thou?, Swingers), and Rufus Sewell (The Man From U.N.C.L.E.), among others.
