Despite being panned by critics, Emily in Paris, a Netflix original series, is returning for a second season, complete with a wild wardrobe, a turbulent love triangle, and—wait for it—some French dialogue? There is no doubt in my mind: If the events of season 2 are any indication, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) still has a long way to go before she can truly claim to be a Francophile after settling in Paris from her native Chicago.

In spite of her numerous mishaps in the City of Light, she must be doing something correctly. Will she stay in Paris forever with the man she’s in love with, chef Gabriel, her best friend Camille’s ex, or will she return to the United States? And what about her French classmate Alfie, the handsome businessman she met? A new job offer from Sylvie, her former boss at marketing company Savoir, and the possibility of promotion back in the United States add to Emily’s woes. a cliffhanger of epic proportions awaits the viewer in the finale: It’s me, Sylvie. Just before the credits roll, Emily tells her former boss, “I’ve made my decision.” Thank you for torturing us, Darren Star.

At this point in the story, we’re left to wonder whether Emily will rekindle her romance with Gabriel or whether she will find a new love interest who is decidedly more British. Is Emily going to return to Chicago for the upcoming season? Until then, we have no reason to believe so. Season 3 of Emily in Paris hasn’t been officially announced, but the cast and crew have given us a few hints about what we can expect.

Emily in Paris: Season 3 in the Works?

Emily In Paris Season 3

Seasons 3 and 4 of Netflix’s hit comedy have been officially renewed as of july 10. We shouldn’t be surprised, since Several members of the cast and crew had expressed their desire to shoot at least one more season, if not several. Emily In Paris Season 3 is expected as released on 10, July 2022.

Collin’s December 2021 cover story for Glamour reads, “I hope viewers find more of themselves and feel seen and represented in the show.” So, “and I’d like to hope that we get a third season because I really hope we get to come back and do this again.”

ELLE.com spoke with Emily in Paris costume designer Marylin Fitoussi, who revealed she already has ideas for the wardrobe for season 3. Reusing costumes from the first season is her “dream” for season three. To see what the recycling workshop can create, I’d like to bring some of Lily’s most recognizable looks there. I’m not sure it’s possible, but it’s something I’d like to try.

Darren Star, the show’s creator, seemed optimistic that there would be more episodes to come. For him, “once we get season 3, I’ll start thinking about ideas,” as he stated to People on December 23. Emily In Paris Season 3 is expected as released on 10, July 2022.

Is Emily going to accept Sylvie’s offer of a job? Is she going to stay in Paris?

Collins, on the other hand, has no clue. At the time of the interview on December 23, Collins admitted to ELLE that she was “desperate” to learn the outcome of the vote.

Revealed to me To this day, Star hasn’t revealed to Emily whether or not she’ll be joining Sylvie in her new job, returning to the United States to work for her old boss Madeline, or making the trip to London to see Alfie. Emily had the same reaction to her statement: “I’m as perplexed as you are,” she said. Even the cliffhanger scene’s direction eluded her: In response, “They are like, ‘OK. As a result of this conversation, I’m left wondering, “Okay, but what is it?”

Star, on the other hand, is content to remain rooted in the ground he has already covered. As he explained to ELLE, “I have a very strong idea of what Emily will choose and I think the thing is, there’s no right choice. It’s impossible to find a solution that will both improve the situation and please everyone.” Moreover, I believe Emily is a bit of a people pleaser, and she will make a decision that will make some people unhappy. Those issues will resurface for her next season as well.”

In the end, who will Emily choose?

He also got a hint that Emily’s British boyfriend Alfie wasn’t quite seen yet, saying: “Alfie is one of my favorite characters. When it comes to Alfred and Emily, neither of them should give up on them just yet. Paris is only a short distance away from London.” Lucien Laviscount playing the English Alfie, Emily confronts her feelings for Gabriel head-on in Season 2. It is too late for reconciliation this season, unfortunately. Showrunner Darren Star tells TVLine that Emily will have to deal with the fallout from her romantic confession in Season 3.

When asked if she harbored feelings for Gabriel, Star admitted, “She does.” ‘How can she manage her relationship and work issues, both of which, by the end of season two, is hanging in the balance?’ That’s a question she’s going to have to confront.”

Isn’t Laviscount also mentioned? “Alfie is one of my favorites,” Star says. I don’t think Emily should write Alfie off, either. Paris is only a short distance from London.”

The mystery remains unsolved, but we have a brand-new love triangle to keep us interested.
