‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Family Guy,’ two of Fox’s most popular programs, are the network’s longest-running series; nevertheless, creator Seth MacFarlane has expressed regret that the show is aired on Fox. ‘The adventures of an endearingly ignorant dad and his hilariously odd family of middle-class New Englanders,’ according to Fox.

Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Stewie, and Brian the dog all share similarities to ‘The Simpsons,’ an animated family on Fox. ‘Family Guy is set in the fictional city of Quahog in Rhode Island, rather than Springfield, Massachusetts. The series’ humor is known for its cutaway gags and frequent use of pop culture references.

‘Family Guy’ comes from the mind of Seth MacFarlane, who voices the characters of Peter, Stewie, and Brian. The series has gone through several executive producers throughout its history, with MacFarlane currently working with Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin as dual showrunners. Both were seen with him in the show’s Comic-Con 2021 panel at Comic-Con International, where they competed against one another and some of the characters in a virtual trivia game.

The cast of The Simpsons Season 20

The voices of the family, MacFarlane, Kunis, Green, and Borstein, will all return for season 20. However, in the wake of last year’s George Floyd protests, long-time cast member Mike Henry stated that he would be leaving the role of Cleveland Brown (and the star of his own show, ‘The Cleveland Show,’) as Peter’s neighbor and buddy. On Twitter, he wrote, ‘Persons of color should play characters of color.’
