‘Lovecraft Country‘ season one is a 10 episode series based on the New York Times Best Selling novel of the same name by Matt Ruff, who also produced and wrote for the Netflix show. At its core it’s about a family that embarks on a journey through 1950s Jim Crow America to find their missing father (Jason Sudeikis), but along the way there is plenty of magic, mayhem and other horrors to contend with!
Now that the first season of Lovecraft Country is finally over, we have time to reflect on what we just saw and take in every little bit of greatness that came with it.

Lovecraft Country Season 2: Why It Got Cancelled?
HBO’s recent decision to cancel Lovecraft Country Season 2 has inspired outrage and disappointment among the show’s loyal fanbase. Although neither the network or series creator Misha Green have stated exactly why they decided to not proceed with the series, several signs point towards a mutual agreement between both parties. Fans were particularly upset that the season finale of Season 1 wasn’t properly addressed by its writers in light of this news, which is a sentiment we at The Write Review share.

Lovecraft Country Season 2: Storyline
While predicting how the second season of the hit TV show from HBO will unfold is exceedingly difficult, we can at least guess where things might go based on the events of the series’ previous year.
In the end, when it became clear that Atticus’ been taken over by Christina, Ji-Ah (Jamie Chung) managed to finally find a way to make things right. Using her abilities when they were both locked with Christina, Ji-Ah was able to use them to break Christina’s hold on Atticus (or so she thought). When it was all over and done with, everyone was sad because of what happened.

But that’s not the end of Lovecraft Country. In the season’s final moments, Christina is trapped beneath rubble and killed by Dee, who reveals his newly acquired bionic left arm (a la Cable from X-Men). Dee also has control over a monster he refers to as “the Shoggoth.”
