High School DxD is a Japanese light novel series loved by many. It has already released four successful seasons, and the fans are now thrilled for the fifth season to come. The only question they have now is, When will High School DXD Season 5 debut?
Written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero, the story focuses on a perverted high school student from Kuoh Academy, Issei Hyodo, who dreams of being a harem king and is killed by his first date who happens to be a fallen angel. But a red-haired devil princess, Rias Gremory, revived him as a devil to be his slave. Could they develop a relationship far more than just being a friend?
High School DXD Season 5 Plot Summary
There is no official plot yet, but we assume in the fifth season, Issei will be facing a lot of problems. First, he will have to ace the Middle-Class promotion test and have the much-anticipated fight to determine the connection between him and Rias. He must remain even more careful around Koneko as she is now suspicious due to Issei and Rias’s growing closeness. All these plot twists will make for an excellent series for sure!
High School DXD Season 5 Release Date
Many people are asking when is High School DXD Season 5 coming out? The answer is, we have no idea yet. There is no official announcement on when the series will premier. As per the Cine Talk, it was initially expected to premiere in 2020; however, the pandemic caused the delay in the launching of the anime series.

Thankfully, we can still keep our hopes up and expect not to cancel the series. Light Novel author, Ichieie Ishibumi, confirmed that season 5 is on its way. He also encouraged fans to buy and read more of the light novel to help the team finance the production of the series.
Cast for High School DxD season 5?
There is no official list of who will be included in season 5, but according to Cinemaholic, we can expect that the cast from the previous season will most likely return.
This includes the voices of Yuki Kaji as Issei Hyoudou, Ayana Taketaksu as Koneko Toujou, Yoko Hikasa as Rias Gremory, Shizuka Ito as Akeno Himejima and Azumi Asakura as Asia Argento.
Even the production and animation studio team from the previous season will definitely return for the upcoming season. According to ComicBook.com, the first three seasons of High School DxD were done by Studio TNK. However, season 4 was handled by studio Passione with direction from Yoshifumi Sueda. The change in studios and style surprised many fans, and some fans were not really pleased with the sudden shift. In fact, the move even caused some fans to petition for the series to change back to its season 1 through 3 styles. But Passione and Sueda will likely continue to handle animation duties for High School DxD Season 5.
