The series follows teenage Tanjiro Kamado, who strives to become a demon slayer after a demon slaughtered his family and his younger sister, Nezuko, turned into a demon.

Demon Slayer was serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, with its chapters collected in twenty-three tankōbon volumes.

When he goes to a nearby area to sell coal, his family is attacked by a vicious demon, which only Nezuko survives.

Demon Slayer begins with Nezuko’s brother trying to turn her back into a human being. She demonstrates several demonic abilities throughout season one, such as power upgrades. 

Nezuko can also kill enemies with more severe blows without training in martial arts.

In the first season of Demon Slayer, Nezuko was 12 years old

Aside from her age, some things changed when Nezuko became a demon.

Nezuko’s stiletto nails are becoming popular among the viewers as it was one of the biggest transitions she had. Her hair is now a flaming orange tint below her waist, unlike when it was plain black.

Despite those changes, she continued wearing her usual pink kimono. When she transforms, a white horn grows from the side of her forehead, and a vein-like pattern appears on her skin.

She also lost her memories as a human when she became a demon, but we are sure that her caring and kind nature remained with her.
