What is a Tesla car?
Tesla Motors or Tesla Cars was formed to develop an electric sports car. Eberhard was Tesla’s CEO, and Tarpenning was the company’s CFO (CFO).
The company received funding from various sources, the most notable of which was PayPal co-founder Elon Musk, who committed more than $30 million to the new enterprise and began serving as chairman in 2004.
In 2008, Tesla Motors debuted its first vehicle, the all-electric Roadster. In testing, it achieved a range of 245 miles (394 km) on a single charge, a record for a production electric car.
Additional tests revealed that its performance was equivalent to that of many gasoline-powered sports cars. The Roadster could accelerate from 0 to 60 miles (96 km) per hour in less than four seconds and reach a high speed of 125 miles (200 km) per hour.
Carbon fiber was used to make the lightweight automobile body. The Roadster had no tailpipe emissions because it did not have an internal-combustion engine.
Tesla Motors discovered that the vehicle reached fuel efficiency ratings of 135 miles per gallon or 57 kilometers per liter. The car’s electric motor was powered by lithium-ion cells, which are routinely used in laptop computer batteries and can be recharged using a standard electrical outlet.

I’ll invite him to move to India and start production there.”
In response to accidents involving electric vehicles, he stated, “In March and April, there is some difficulty with the batteries when the temperature rises.” We’ve formed an expert group to look into this and collect the reports. I believe it is a high-temperature issue. Now we’ve chosen to create standardized norms and standards for that.”
