Michigan (WOOD) — Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids) After being named Mrs. America, a local radio host has found herself in the national spotlight.
At the pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jackie Green has crowned Miss Universe. She’s back in her native Michigan, pondering the significance of her recent victory and the impact it has had on her life.

This is something I didn’t want to talk about because I was afraid of how people would treat and react if they knew, Green said. “I felt like a lot was held from me,” she said. “I was afraid of how people would treat and react if they knew.” Mrs. America’s final question to me was one of the most emotional moments of my life,” she says. As a result, it felt great to be crowned the winner based solely on my answer.
