With Luna accompanying them, Max and Helen move into their new London home in “Talkin’ About A Revolution” the eleventh episode of season four of “New Amsterdam”. It is impossible for Veronica to win over the department heads, doctors, and other staff members when she returns to New Amsterdam
While Reynolds is being asked to expand procedures to increase profits and Bloom’s department emphasizes discharging more patients without delivering operations to help insurance companies, Iggy’s vocational placement programs have been abolished. Dr. Lyn’s pregnancy is riddled with difficulties. The paternity test for Lyn’s baby is being conducted by Dr. Baptiste and Reynolds. Leyla leaves New Amsterdam without telling Bloom where she is.
Despite Bloom’s best efforts, he is unable to get through to her when she is in distress. Veronica names Dr. Mia Castries as the head of holistic medicine to the chagrin of Iggy, Bloom, and Reynolds. Dr. Wilder secretly meets with them to form an alliance in opposition to Veronica’s new laws.
Greg Treize, a man who believes he is cursed and cannot be healed by modern medicine, is struck by lightning. During a scan, Bloom discovers that he has cancer and has to be admitted to the hospital. When Helen is named medical director of her old London hospital, she faces a number of challenges. Using American methods has gotten her in hot water with the authorities.
With the help of his placement program, Wilder helps Iggy find a way to hire back her former employees. After Veronica prevents Bloom from operating on Treize, Wilder is called in. When the procedure is done behind closed doors, they form a team of specialists. Before she knows it, Lyn attacks Reynolds and rants about Baptiste’s paternity test, unaware that Reynolds provided the sample. She asks if he wants to know in order to absolve himself of responsibility for her and her child, despite his assertion that she should find out who the father is of her own free will.
Baptiste and Reynolds come to terms with the fact that they made a blunder during Lyn’s second pregnancy. No matter whose DNA the baby shares, Lyn and her baby are safe in the family’s hands, and the family accepts this. In the near future, Baptiste and Reynolds will make amends with Lyn. Inform her that the lab has been instructed to delete all samples and that no further testing will be conducted. Remorseful coworkers are assured by Lyn that she is in good health. Additionally, she wants a partner who will take care of her and her child without hesitation. As she explains, a child’s happiness and well-being should not be dictated by their test scores. True sincerity is more important to Lyn than the truth about the father of her child.
