What’s the deal with On My Block?
‘On My Block,’ which debuted in 2018, is a series about a crew of streetwise teenagers navigating high school in the fictitious Freeridge neighborhood of East Los Angeles. The show follows four teenagers, Monse Finnie, Ruby Martinez, Jamal Turner, and Cesar Diaz, and their development as they navigate friendships, budding relationships, schoolwork, and structural oppression.
