It seems like many television series on Netflix are based on novels these days, and One of Us Is Lying is not an exception. The series is based on Karen M. McManus’s 2017 novel of the same name.
Set to premiere on February 18th, One of Us is Lying is an American young adult mystery drama television series around five high school students from different social circles who went into detention. One of them mysteriously dies, and the four remaining students are under investigation.

What is One of Us Is Lying About?
Five students of Bayview High named Nate, Bronwyn, Addy, Cooper, and Simon are coincidentally put into detention together. What they did not know was that their lives were about to turn upside down.
One of them died mysteriously thus, starting an investigation. The remaining four students, Nate, Bronwyn, Addy, and Copper, are the main suspect. It is later announced that Simon passed away due to an allergic reaction, but his death was not accidental. One of the four students with him in detention is responsible, but who could it be?
Simon is known for starting an online gossip app to reveal his classmates’ deepest darkest secrets. That could be the reason for his death, and all four students are found to have a motive and reason to kill him. But who among them committed such a horrible crime?
