Rent A Girlfriend Season 2: A Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima became an anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment

Fans have been wondering ever since the last episode of Season 1 if Rent A Girlfriend will have another season. The first season concluded in September 2020, and the viewers are craving more!

The creators recently announced a confirmation regarding Rent a Girlfriend Season 2, and fans have been gushing over this news. 

Rent A Girlfriend Season 2 Release Date

The anime series is set to continue the romantic comedy experiences of college student Kazuya Kinoshita and rental girlfriend Chizuru Ichinose in July. A teaser trailer and a visual poster were also released for the upcoming new season and the release date announcement.

When will Rent a Girlfriend Season 2 air? 

The first season of Rent A Girlfriend premiered in July 2020, and it did not take long before they announced the second season of the anime series. 

The streaming service Crunchyroll has announced that a second season is confirmed, although we do not have the details yet when exactly it will air. Later on, they mentioned that it might be on the streaming platform by July 2022

Although the fans have been waiting for it, there were some delays to the production, which is why it takes a few months before it premiers. 

Rent a Girlfriend Season 2 Cast 

Who will be part of Rent a Girlfriend Season 2 Cast? 

Although it is already confirmed that we will be having a second season for Rent a Girlfriend, they have yet to update the cast list for the second season. 

However, it is expected that we will be seeing the cast of Rent a Girlfriend Season 1 cast back for the second installment.

After all, a special short video was released that featured much of the main anime voice cast. Among the cast that might be included for Season 2 are: 

  • Sora Amamiya as Chizuru Mizuhara
  • Aoi Yūki as Mami Nanami
  • Nao Tōyama as Ruka Sarashina
  • Rie Takahashi as Sumi Sakurasawa
  • Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita
  • Yukari Nozawa as Kazuya’s grandmother Nagomi Kinoshita

Rent A Girlfriend Season 2 Release Date

The production team also confirmed that Rent A Girlfriend Season 2 will have Kazuomi Koga as the returning anime director and Kanna Hirayama as the anime character designer. 

Rent a Girlfriend Season 2 Plot

Unfortunately, we do not have an official storyline for Rent A Girlfriend Season 2 just yet. Still, we expect it will not stay away from its manga story, following the first six volumes, respectively. 

The manga currently has 190 chapters and 19 volumes, and we are not sure if it is already going to end. Thus, we can assume that they have a lot to pull from those for Rent a Girlfriend Season 2. 

And since Season 1 ended with a few exciting events, there is a possibility Season 2 will start where it left off.
