What is Reservation Dogs About?
Reservation Dogs is teen comedy-drama television series starring Indigenous Americans.
It follows Elora Danan Postoak, Bear Smallhill, Cheese, and Willie Jack, four Indigenous teens who live on a reservation in rural Oklahoma and call themselves the Rez Dogs.
It’s an amazing first in that it features all Indigenous authors and directors, as well as an almost entirely Indigenous North American cast and crew. It’s also the first television show to be shot in Oklahoma. The series premiered on FX on Hulu on August 9, 2021 (International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples).
The Rez Dogs do everything it takes to fundraise for a cross-country move to get out of their current living circumstances. However, they get themselves into quite a bit of mischief in the process.
Since its premiere, the series has received a lot of positive feedback, and it presently has a 100% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

We can see that at the end of Season 1, the kids have learned a lot about life and themselves — but there are still a lot of unanswered questions to be answered in Season 2.
