Are we getting Sicario 3 this 2022?
Denis Villeneuve’s film Sicario, starring Emily Blunt, is already up for a third sequel to complete the anthology trilogy.
The first film enjoyed favorable reviews and success at the box office. The second installment was generally less favored among critics, though it certainly wasn’t a flop. Will we be expecting something better for Sicario 3?
Here’s more of what you need to know.
The Plot of Sicario
The blockbuster film from 2015 follows an idealistic FBI agent enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border between the U.S. and Mexico.
The film’s second 2018 sequel, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, continues to follow the drug war on the border, which already escalated as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the U.S. border.
To fight the war, federal agent Matt Grave re-teams with the secretive agent Alejandro.
Will they reunite and be back again for the third installment?
Here’s a closer look at the future of Sicario 3 and its details.
Sicario 3: Release Date
Sicario 3 has initially been confirmed by the showrunners back in 2018. And now, after a couple of years in silence, new reports say that production is already coming soon.
Although we do not have an exact date yet as to when the movie will premiere on the big screen, we are sure that Sicario 3 is confirmed to be produced.
We might not see the finished product to air within 2022, but since it is already in the works, we can assume it might be out for viewing by 2023.
