Amanda Nicole Martinez, 31, was arrested after she allegedly threw soup in the face of a restaurant employee during a disturbance on November 7 at Sol De Jalisco.

Martinez has been charged with assault inflicting bodily harm. According to authorities, she was arrested and sent to the Bell County Jail on Wednesday morning.

“We do not condone this type of behaviour and hold our citizens to the highest level,” Deputy Police Chief Allen Teston stated at the time the assault was investigated.

“If a citizen believes they have gotten bad treatment, we suggest them to maintain civility until the issue is remedied.”

The event occurred on November 7 at 1:21 p.m. at the restaurant located at 4201 S. General Bruce Dr.

Martinez had contacted police to complain about an order she had picked up.

Martinez “returned to the restaurant and began a verbal argument” after phoning police, according to authorities.

Martinez reported during the altercation that the soup she picked up was hot and that the plastic lid placed on top of it had melted.

“She then continued to pour the soup at the victim and fled before officers arrived,” according to police.

Martinez is said to have been barred from the restaurant.
