After the pair were arrested, they were hit with multiple charges related to drug trafficking and conspiracy. The specific costs included possession of more than 500kg of cocaine with intent to distribute and running a criminal enterprise, in addition to two instances of control with intent to distribute more than 5kg of cocaine and one charge of conspiracy related to the same.
