Satoshi Wagawa’s The Devil Is a Part-Timer began as a Japanese novel series before being adapted to a television show. With his enormous demon legions, the Demon Lord Satan begins to take control of Ente Isla, causing ordinary humans to tremble with fear. However, while pursuing this cruel goal of conquering the nation, Satan is hindered by Emilia, who sends him fleeing through a portal to Morden Day.

In a world without magic, Satan disguises himself as Sadao Maou, a non-magical human living in the small town of Amnesia. To earn money, he works at a nearby fast-food restaurant. However, he soon discovers that conquering Ente Isla is insufficient; instead, he becomes dedicated to rising up in the world and becoming Earth’s emperor. This series was created and written by Naoto Hosada. Under the direction of Takashi Nakamura, the anime premiered in April 2013 under infinite, Pony Canyon, and Sotsu.
