The Nevers Season 1 Part 2: Trivia
Like any other TV show, the Nevers has its fair share of hardships during the beginning of its journey. From one problem to another, it is not a surprise that the show has received a lot of praise given that all the team involved in the creation of The Nevers exert all their efforts for the success of the show.
The process of casting The Nevers
What’s evident about the show is that majority of the cast were women and British. Laura Donnelly was hired for the lead role in the spring of 2019. She is known for her supporting works in The Fall and Britannia.
When asked what Whedon can say about his newest leading lady, he said, “Laura Donnelly has charisma, wisdom and an anarchic precision that not only captures Amalia but defines her, She’s fierce, and she’s funny — and I need both for the journey ahead.”
Olivia Williams, James Norton, Tom Riley, Ann Skelly, and Amy Manson were added to the cast at the end of the summer of 2019 as filming got underway. A further six cast members were announced shortly after that, completing the cast of The Nevers and setting the show up to begin filming.
COVID-19 shutdown
We all know how Covid-19 affected so many lives, including the entertainment industry’s production. Because of the pandemic, many shows are forced to stop filming for the safety of their casts and team.
The Nevers paused their principal photography on its first season in March 2020, and in just seven months, actor Nick Frost revealed that the show had managed to continue shooting.
Frost said, “I don’t know how HBO [is] gonna drop it,” Frost remarked. “I think COVID might have split a big season of 10 into two of five, but that literally changes all the time, so I don’t know.”
The Nevers amazon prime is now available for streaming as well as in Prime Video and Vudu. You can binge-watch the first part while waiting for part 2 to release.
Unfortunately, for those who subscribed to Netflix, The Nevers Netflix is not happening for now. We do hope that Netflix will soon open their platform for The Nevers.
