The series is actually based on a shocking true-crime story involving an elaborate plan to frame an innocent husband of his wife’s murder. The true-to-life murder took place way back in 2011. As the killing was a hot topic for several years since it happened, it was also chronicled on the Dateline podcast, The Thing About Pam respectively.

What is The Thing About Pam?
The Thing About Pam Series is based on the true story of Pam Hupp, detailing the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria. Spoiler Alert: Pam Hupp was convicted and is serving time in jail.
As for the summarized storyline, Faria was suffering from stage 4 cancer at the time that she was stabbed to death at her home on December 11. However, the murderer was not immediately confirmed as to who killed her.
This case has become a hot topic around the state and the world. Now, what appeared to be a straightforward murder case is actually a chain of events that will expose both a wrongful conviction and a diabolical scheme involving a woman named Pam Hupp.

Official Release Date of The Thing About Pam Series
The American crime drama series started filming in New Orleans in October last year and is scheduled to set to premiere on NBC on March 8, 2022.
The Thing About Pam is a mini-series and it comprises only two episodes. You might be thinking of binge-watch it in a day but take note that the first episode will air on March 8 and the second (and last one) on March 15, 2022.
Cast and Production of The Thing About Pam Series
Two-time Academy Award winner Renée Zellweger will be part of The Thing About Pam series as a producer and at the same time an actor.
Mixon will be taking on the role of Faria. Zellweger will portray Pam Hupp while Greer will portray Leah Askey, who is the former Lincoln County prosecutor who attempted to sentence Russ for his wife’s murder not once, but twice.
Josh Duhamel, Gideon Adlon, Sean Bridgers, Glenn Fleshler, Suanne Spoke, and Mac Brandt will be part of the series as well.
Although NBC released a Promo regarding The Thing About Pam, there still is no sign of an official trailer that shows how the series will go.
