The Wilds Season 2 Updates: Will it be Renewed or Cancelled?

Fans are still waiting for The Wilds Season 2 to come back on Amazon. 

Hoping for the return of the series this year, Amazon has yet to put on their list on their upcoming shows to confirm that the show will be back for the second installment.

Here’s what we know so far about The Wilds Season 2. 

What is The Wilds About? 

The Wilds is an American drama series created by Sarah Streicher for Amazon Prime Video.

The series plot follows the story of teenage girls who flew the same plane are left stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash but are unaware they are the subjects of a social experiment.

Before the crash, the girls believed that they were on their way to Hawaii for a Dawn of Eve program focusing on women’s empowerment. However, when they crash and must survive on their own on the island, they forget about why they were on the plane in the first place, until one too many strange things happen that lead them to suspect there’s more going on. 

The group of girls then live on the island together and thank fate that they lived despite the plane crash; however, unknown of the experiment. 

The season revolves around telling the solo story of each cast and how they are different from each other. One won in a school beauty contest; one brought up by a Christian family. 

Joining them is also a l*sbian and a good sportswoman on the island. The story continues to unleash what the experiment is, and how it will be known to the women and the parents of these teenage girls.

Will there be a The Wilds Season 2? 

Stakes are high that there will be The Wilds Season 2. 

Although Amazon has not yet announced anything about the second installment of The Wilds, fans are speculating for it to come out by the end of 2022.

The first season of The Wilds was released on Amazon Prime Video on December 11, 2020, and received positive reviews from critics and fans. A lot has praised the plot and acting of the actors as well. 

In December 2020, the series was renewed for a second season.

Hopefully, Amazon will let us know when it will be back, not to get our hopes high!

What to expect on The Wilds Season 2?

If you have seen The Wilds Season 1, the last episode has some huge revelations, setting up the major plotlines of Season 2. 

In the finale, another girl on the island named Leah figures out the truth about Nora and attempts to confront her about it. To get her out of the way, Nora leads Leah to an open pit, leaving her in it to either climb out.

Season 2 might pick off on the unsolved conflict between the girls.
