What is Vincenzo About?

As mentioned, Vincenzo is a South Korean drama series combining comedy, crime, and romance. The show was written by Park Jae-bum and was directed by Kim Hee-Won. 

The first episode of the series reached a rating of 7.7%, making it the fourth highest-rated tvN drama that premiered. In comparison, its finale received 14.6%, garnering the ninth highest-rated drama in Korean cable television history at the time.

Vincenzo did not just hit it off in Korea but also to international fans. Since it was aired on Netflix, it has maintained its position in the top 10 Tv shows in the world. Now, it belongs to the list of Forbes’s most-viewed Korean series in Netflix 2021, getting the fourth rank. 

Official Synopsis of Vincenzo 

The series follows the story of Park Joo-Hyung, who was adopted by an Italian family specifically adopted by Don Fabio, head of the Cassano Family (Mafia).

He was renamed Vincenzo Cassano when he was adopted. Vincenzo becomes a lawyer, a consigliere for the mafia, and Don Fabio’s right-hand man.

After Fabio dies, he flees to Seoul and sets out to recover 1.5 tons of gold that he helped a recently-dead Chinese tycoon secretly stash within the basement of Geumga Plaza. He starts his journey to remove the gold buried under while he meets unexpected tenants and a big Korean chaebol group. 

Vincenzo 2 Release Date 

Season 1 first premiered on February 20, 2021, while the finale was aired on May 2, 2021. The series consisted of 20 episodes with a running time of 60 minutes each. 

Unfortunately, there is no official announcement regarding its renewal or cancelation as of this writing. However, if you are a fan of the k-drama series, then you know that it is most unlikely to be renewed for another season. 

Despite the show’s success having fans crave Vincenzo Season 2, there have been no discussions or hints that the show will return for another installment. 

When Song Joong Ki was asked regarding the renewal of the show, he said in an interview, “There are no discussions about season two at all. I’m thankful that there seem to be many people who want it. It is unlikely that there will be any internal discussions about season two in the future.”

What to expect for Vincenzo Season 2 Plot? 

As mentioned, we do not have confirmation yet regarding the Vincenzo Season 2. Although there has been no announcement regarding its cancelation, we can probably assume that the series will only be a one-time season series. 

Like any other South Korean drama, they usually do not announce the show’s cancelation unless it was initially set for multiple installments. 

We cannot say for sure what we can expect as part of the plot of Vincenzo Season 2 if it ever happens because the finale of Season 1 was already quite definite on how Vincenzo wanted to live his life outside South Korea.
