WhatsApp Updates: Meta-owned WhatsApp announced the rollout of new features, including emoji reactions, larger files, and groups, in an effort to make the messaging platform more user-friendly.

WhatsApp Updates recommends using WiFi for larger files and will display a counter while uploading or downloading to inform users how long their transfer took.

According to a recent report, WhatsApp updates is likely working on a future app update that will include the ability to display status updates directly in the chat list.

This Whatsapp updates feature has not yet been made available to beta testers because it is still in development.

The company stated that Whatsapp updatesit is gradually introducing the ability to add up to 512 people to a group, but it has only added 256 people thus far.

WhatsApp updates is also working on a new group feature that will enable administrators to delete any message sent to any group member. The feature is currently in development and will be made available to beta testers in the coming days, according to WABetaInfo.

What are the emojis reactions on WhatsApp updates?

WhatsApp updates began rolling out emoji reactions to users last week with a new update. The update, however, was not received by Android or iOS users.

This is understandable given that updates with new features are frequently rolled out in stages to see if users encounter any strange unfixed bugs. However, the feature is now becoming more widely available to WhatsApp users.

Thanks to a new update for both Android and iOS devices, more people can now use the emoji reaction feature.

As well as share files up to 2GB in size, an improvement over the previous limit of 100MB. Last month, Meta, the company behind WhatsApp, stated that these features would be available “soon,” and it appears that today is the day. The company also announced on Thursday that the maximum size of group chats would be doubled.

When reactions were first announced, Meta stated that only a few would be available at first, but that support for “all emojis and skin-tones” would be added later.

Emoji reactions are already available on Facebook Messenger and Instagram. It allows users to respond to each message with a different emoji. The reactions are visible in group and individual chats on iOS, Android, and WhatsApp Web.

When WhatsApp updates confirmed the release of its “Community” feature later this year, the feature was first announced. On iOS, the feature looks like this.

According to reports, WhatsApp updates may also add sticker and GIF reactions to its platform. These features were recently discovered on a developer build and may eventually make their way into stable versions.

In other news, WhatsApp updates is testing emoji reactions for status updates. This beta feature will allow users to respond to others’ status updates with emoji reactions, similar to Instagram.

According to a leaked report, WhatsApp updates for Desktop will have eight fixed reactions, but how many options we will have on Android and iOS remains to be seen.

The reactions are a useful feature, which is why Slack and Telegram have had them for a while—you can now show that a message made you laugh without clogging up the group chat.

This will be especially important in the near future, as WhatsApp is increasing the default maximum size of group chats from 256 to 512. (However, there have been reports of hack-y workarounds to get past the previous limit).

How to add emoji reactions to WhatsApp

When responding to a message, WhatsApp users will be presented with six pre-selected emoji from which to choose. The six emoji will appear when a user long presses a message. Users can then respond by tapping on the appropriate emoji.

The six emoji that are currently available are thumbs up, heart, laughing emoji, shocked emoji, sad with a teardrop emoji, and prayer emoji. Users cannot change these six emojis, so you cannot respond with another emoji for the time being. However, this feature may be added to the platform in the future.
