Unfortunately, the Black Clover anime paused its premiere run in March of 2020. The series paused during the beginning of the arc and ended its Season 4 there.

Black Clover Season 5 Release Date
After a near-constant stream of magical escapades since the hit adventure anime “Black Clover” began, its creators hit pause on the action series.
The first two seasons, which aired in quick succession in October 2017 and October 2018, each consisted of 51 episodes. Season 3 was released in October 2019.
Moreover, Season 4’s closing had promised the fans an “important announcement” on the horizon has fans on tenterhooks. What can that be?
Since then, fans have been waiting for another series, yet there is no official release date for Black Clover Season 5.

Black Clover Season 5 Plot and What to Expect
Main Plot
Black Clover’s storyline follows Asta, a young boy born without magic power. To the world he lives in, everyone seemingly has magic powers, so he has to keep it a secret. Asta plans to become the next Wizard King with his fellow mages from the Black Bulls.
Expected Plot of Black Clover Season 5
Backed up by a manga series, the plot of Black Clover Season 5 seems to be clear already, especially to the fans who have read the manga.
Plotlines are already spoiled, plus Yūki Tabata’s manga source material is still in production, leaving options for development in the storyline of the anime series.
In the last episodes of Season 4, there is still plenty of potentials to further explore in the recent revelation of Asta’s biological mother.
And if you are an avid fan, that wasn’t the only cliffhanger from Season 4. Allies of Asta and Yumi like Princess Loropechika are still held captive and in need of rescue, and the heroes are teetering on the brink of war with The Spade Kingdom.
Moreover, the most significant conflict to come could be between the devils and the living world. But, one thing’s for sure, in Season 5 of Black Clover, the heroes’ quest to realize their shared dream of becoming the Wizard King is bound to continue.
Black Clover Season 5 expected Character and Casts
Since there are several casts and characters from the past seasons, all of them are expected to be seen in the upcoming season.
The protagonists Asta and Yuno are indeed to return for Season 5 and have been loyally portrayed by voice actors Gakuto Kajiwara and Nobunaga Shimazaki, respectively.
Kana Yūki’s Noelle Silva may return as the love interest for Asta since her deeply held feelings for him still haven’t found full expression. This means the character’s two voice actors, Kenichiro Matsuda and Nobuhiko Okamoto, are most likely to be joining Season 5 as well.
