Shining Vale: From the release date, where to watch, the plot of the story, the main cast, everything will be discussed in this article.
Created by Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan, Shining Vale was expected to release on March 6. 2022 on Starz. It is a story about a dysfunctional family that moves from a city to a small town after Terry, played by Kinnear, caught Pat, his wife played by Cox, cheating on him. In order to save their marriage, they used all their savings to move the family from the city to a large, old mansion in the suburbs that just might be hunted. Is Pat really seeing the spirit of a lady named Rosemary or is it just the effect of her medications?
Pat is a former wild child who became famous for writing erotic female empowerment novels (a.k.a lady p**n). 17 years had passed and Pat is already clean and sober. Unfortunately, she is very unfulfilled with her life. She hasn’t written her second novel yet and she can’t remember when was the last time her husband became intimate with her, her kids are all teenagers and now at the stage where they don’t want you in their lives.
She made the terrible mistake of having an affair with a sexy, young handyman who came over to fix their sink while her husband is at work. She got caught of course so, in order to save their marriage, they used all the money they have to relocate the family to an old Victorian mansion to have a fresh start. It probably isn’t the best place considering that the mansion had been the place of multiple murders.
Now, Pat is not sure whether she is suffering from schizophrenia just like her mom or if she is really seeing a ghost.

Starz’s president of original programming, Christina Davis, described Shining Vale as a smart, chilling, and funny series that tells a story of how one family’s life suddenly became hunted.
“This group of talented actors, executive producers, and director blends comedy and horror brilliantly throughout this series which exemplifies the network’s commitment to improve female representation on and off the screen,” she said.
Shining Vale will surely make us laugh and scared at the same time – not sure how that is possible but somehow, that is doable. We can’t wait for the show to air as we are curious to know more about the story.
