Disney+ Hypes National Treasure Edge of History Spinoff Series
Disney+ recently revealed the full title for the upcoming National Treasure Series and will call it National Treasure Edge of History. Together with the announcement, they asked the viewers if they were ready for another adventure. Are you?
National Treasure Edge of History is an upcoming American action-adventure television series developed for the streaming service Disney+ and was based on the National Treasure film series that started in 2004.
It is produced by ABC Signature, part of Disney Television Studios. Jerry Bruckheimer, Cormac & Marianne Wibberley, Jonathan Littman, and Kristie Anne Reed will be executively producing the series alongside Rick Muirragui, who also serves as a writer.
According to reports, the filming started on February 12, 2022, so we expect it to be out really soon.
Well, the National Treasure Edge of History will most likely give you the adventure you are looking for. The franchise will star Nicolas Cage, and the story will be intricate and full of clues. Although the plot remains a mystery, we can assume it will offer some exciting and mysterious scenes.
National Treasure Edge of History Plot
Reportedly, Disney+ will release ten National Treasure Edge History episodes.
Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the show, mentioned in an interview that the franchise would have the same concept as the original series. National Treasure and 2007’s National Treasure: Book of Secrets’ original writers were Marianne and Cormac Wibberley.
Since we do not have the exact plot yet, we can take a hint from the description of the series, which is said to be “exploring the timely issues of identity, community, historical authorship and patriotism, told from the point of view of Jess Morales, a twenty-year-old dreamer who, with her diverse group of friends, sets off on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover her mysterious family history and recover lost treasure.”

As of writing, the title card and official name of the franchise series of National Treasure were released. We have to yet wait for another update and announcement from Disney+ regarding the official release date of National Treasure Edge of History.

National Treasure Edge of History Cast
As mentioned, the former series featured Nicolas Cage, so fans cannot talk about him while speculating about the National Treasure Edge of History. However, Nicolas Cage has not indicated that he will make any cameo appearance in the series yet, but that does not mean it is impossible.
National Treasure Edge of History will feature a new cast, including Lisette Alexis and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Meanwhile, Justin Bartha will reprise his role as Riley Poole in the series, and having played Poole in both previous movies, Bartha will provide a link to the earlier films in the franchise. Exciting, yes?
The series will also star Zuri Reed as Tasha, Jordan Rodrigues as Ethan, Antonio Cipriano as Oren, and Jake Austin Walker as Liam. On the other hand, Lyndon Smith will be playing the role of FBI Agent Ross.
