The movie follows Carmen Cortez (PenaVega) and her brother Juni (Sabara) as they battle against Fegan Floop( Alan Cumming), the evil mastermind behind a popular children’s show, to rescue their parents (Banderas & Carla Gugino).

After amassing an impressive $150 million at the box office, the Asset Bairns franchise spawned three sequels – Asset Kiddies 2: The Islet of Lost Dreams, Spy Kids 3-D Game Over and Spy Kids All the Time in the World, as well as 2018, rebooted TV show entitled “Spy Kids Mission Critical”.
