Rick And Morty Season 6: Rick and Morty, the hit animated comedy about everyone’s favorite alcoholic genius and his awkward 14-year-old grandson, has been delighting science fiction enthusiasts for almost eight years.

With five seasons under its belt and Szechuan sauce and Pickle Rick ‘gifting’ pop culture, it’s no surprise that each new episode of the TV show sends the internet into a frenzy.

As a result, fans are eagerly awaiting additional space-related memes and information on the release date of Rick and Morty Season 6.

What is Rick And Morty All About?

Rick And Morty Season 6

Rick and Morty is a comedy series created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon that follows Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith, who are both voiced by Roiland. We’ve seen the team travel through time, fight multiple dimensional versions of themselves, and even make a big incest space baby since the show debuted in 2013.

The brief comic episodes are addicting, and more are on the way, thankfully. Rick and Morty season 6 has been in the works for quite some time since Adult Swim bought a massive 70 episodes of the show in 2018.

Rick and Morty Season 6 Plot

There are no firm plot specifics for Season 6 yet, but we know we’re in for a treat based on previous seasons and the ongoing Evil Morty storyline.

Each season of Rick and Morty is episodic, with each episode including fresh and exciting experiences. The series, on the other hand, has amassed lore and a few canon plotlines that it has revisited and time again.

The Citadel was destroyed in season 5, and Evil Morty escaped to a dimension where Rick isn’t the smartest person in the universe. Finally, we learned the backstory of Rick’s wife, who was revealed to have been slain along with a young version of Beth by another Rick.

While it’s likely that the upcoming season will keep to the episodic format, as Rick remarks after disclosing his past in Season 5: “Now everyone can shut up about it,” it’s also possible that the show will expand on any of the plotlines established in Season 5.

Rick’s most dependable buddy outside of his family, Birdperson, is likely to return in the series canon.

It’s also likely that Evil Morty’s destruction of the Citadel and the Central Infinite Curve – the man-made barrier that seals off all realities and universes where Rick isn’t the smartest man alive – would have terrible effects on the series’ future.

Rick’s green portal gun was likewise out of juice and possibly broken for good after the destruction of the Central Infinite Curve, as we witnessed at the end of Season 5’s episode ten.

So, who knows, perhaps Rick will have to fight someone smarter than him in the future as he is forced to travel around all realms and realities rather than just the ones where he is the top dog.

We’d also wager a few Blemflarcks that season 6 will include more pop culture references. Last season, we got parallels to the horror film Hellraiser and Independence Day easter eggs and even tributes to the classic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, with Cenobites drooling over Jerry’s agony. As a result, expect more movie references.

Summer’s older sister, Spencer Grammer, has indicated that now that Evil Morty appears to be gone, we might get to see an Evil Summer in his place.

In an interview with Inverse, Grammer remarked, “Evil Summer is probably the most Rick she can be.” “The family’s female members aspire to be like Rick. Therefore that’s where her intelligence is.” In some ways, she’d have to thrash Rick’s mind?”

Therefore, in Rick and Morty Season 6, there’s a lot to look forward to, and it appears that the possibilities are limitless!
