Is Ted 3 finally coming to the screen?
Fans have anticipated Ted 3 to come back after several years of waiting. Is it finally getting renewed?
The Ted series is something that every family wishes to watch because of its heartwarming story, which is why a lot is anticipating it.
Hopes are high as the rumors had spread that there is going to be Ted 3. Here’s what we know so far about it.
Is there going to be a Ted 3?
The first film of Macfarlane’s Ted, which was his directorial debut, was something beyond the viewers’ expectations. If you have seen the sequels of Ted, you know how Macfarlane made a teddy bear alive possible.
It is actually beyond the viewers’ expectation if we are being honest, which is why it had higher ratings when it was premiered.
The second part of the movie was released in 2015, but it still cannot beat the first one, Ted (2012).
Although the second film was a success, it gained less than half of the original movie. The first one was a success of $549.4 million against a budget of $50 million, and the sequel which followed was $216.7 million, against a budget of $68 million.

In addition, Macfarlane, during an interview with Movieweb, once expressed his thoughts on releasing the third part:
“I would be open to it… I mean, the Ted movies were blasting. Wahlberg is a blast. I had great fun doing that.”
We can assume that if all turns out well, with the help of the support of fans and viewers, Ted 3 might happen.
The Plot of Ted
Back in 1985, an eight-year-old John Bennett is a friendless only child living in the suburb of Boston, who wishes for his new Christmas gift, a jumbo teddy bear named Ted, to come to life and become his best friend.
Luckily, his wish coincides with a shooting star and comes true, and word spreads around his place, and Ted briefly becomes a celebrity.
In the present day, John and Ted are still living together. John is dating Lori Collins, whom he met at a dance club, and as their fourth-anniversary approaches, Lori hopes to marry John but feels he can not move forward in life with Ted around.
John is hesitant about making Ted leave, but later on, he decides to get him a new apartment. The story proceeds with how Ted and John fix their relationship as they go on with their personal lives.
Ted 3: Release Date
Despite the rumors going around that Ted 3 is coming back to the big screens, we have yet to wait for the official announcement from the showrunners.
We do not have an exact date yet as to when it will be aired or start production.
Ted 3: Cast
Although we do not have the official list of cast members yet, we are expecting Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Barth, Giovanni Ribisi, Patrick Warburton, Mila Kunis, Joel McHale, Amanda Seyfried, and Morgan Freeman to join Ted 3 cast members.
Aside from them, we might get to see new actors. But still, we should wait for the official announcement regarding the upcoming film to avoid disappointments.

We have yet to wait for the official announcement of the showrunners if there would be Ted 3 in the works.
