20. Ironside (2013)

Ironside is an American police drama television series that was created by Collier Young.

It is hailed as the 20th worst tv show because of its cliche and lack of originality cop show storyline where there was questionable casting. It was supposed to have 9 episodes for the first season, however, it only aired on NBC from October 2 to October 23, 2013, making it 4 episodes while 5 were unaired.

19.  Disjointed (2017-2018)

Disjointed is an American streaming television sitcom that was created by David Javerbaum and Chuck Lorre.

This Netflix show, despite having great talent behind and in front of the camera, this show did not make it big. Its cheap stereotype jokes and bizarre gags made it uncomfortable to watch for most viewers, which may be one of the reasons why.

18. Mulaney (2014-2015)

Mulaney is an American sitcom that aired on Fox from October 5, 2014, to February 15, 2015.  John Mulaney created the show and starred as a fictionalized version of himself.

Why did the show make it to the top 20 of the worst tv shows of the century? Mulaney’s series felt short of the expectations as a sitcom. Although the cast had funny actors, the sitcom was very much similar in idea and set to the hit show Seinfield which made it for them to get away from comparison.

17. Skins (2011)

Skins is an American teen comedy-drama television series that premiered on MTV on January 17, 2011.

The viewers did not find the tv show comfortable to watch which lead to the heavy controversies it had even during the first few episodes. There were a lot of mature scenes done by the teenagers and the awkward and ugly-paced storyline which did not resonate with the viewers.

16. Saint George (2014)

Saint George is an American television sitcom created by George Lopez, David McFadzean, and Matt Williams, which originally aired on FX from March 6, 2014, to May 8, 2014.

The show ended after 10 episodes because of its weird and bland premised storyline and awful characters.

15. Charlie’s Angels (2011)

Charlie’s Angels Tv Show is an American action crime drama television series that is a remake of the series of the same name created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts and the second series in the Charlie’s Angels franchise.

It might sound weird that this is on the top list of the top 20 worst tv shows of the century, but the characters of actresses in the show are underdeveloped which did not work with the target audience. Moreover, the action scenes failed to “wow” the fans.

14. Dr. Ken (2015-2017)

Dr. Ken is an American multi-camera sitcom that aired on ABC from October 2, 2015, to March 31, 2017. The series was created, written, and co-executive produced by the lead actor himself, Ken Jeong, who based the concept on his experience as a physician prior to becoming a stand-up comedian.

Although many were excited for Ken Jeong’s sitcom, being one of the funniest comedians in Hollywood, the show somehow disappointed its fans. The show had a typical sitcom husband cliche plot that drifted on mundane storylines.

13.  Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (2016-2017)

Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders is an American police procedural television series created by Erica Messer that aired on CBS from March 16, 2016, to May 17, 2017.

Although famous actors made up the show, they were overshadowed by the critiques which mentioned that the plot was tone-deaf. The show promoted harmful stereotypes on countries outside the border of America, which gained heavy controversies from the viewers.

12. Sh*t! My Dad Says (2010-2011)

Sh*t My Dad Says is a Twitter feed started by Justin Halpern, who, at the time, was a semi-employed comedy writer. This was later on adapted into a sitcom series, which did not go so well.

The delivery and dialogue of the cast were not as expected. Viewership “yoyo-ed” back and forth however it failed to make it with a bang.

11. Dad’s (2013-2014)

Dads is an American live-action sitcom created by Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin for Fox.

In the early advertisements about the show, it was eagerly mentioned that the plot was about two sons having problems with their dads, however, as the show went on, the sons showed up to be more problematic. This was not tolerated by viewers which made it land as part of the top 20 worst tv shows in the century list.

10. Inhumans (2017)

Marvel’s Inhumans, or simply Inhumans, is an American television series created by Scott Buck for ABC, based on the Marvel Comics race of the same name.

Yep, a Marvel series made it to this list. Well, accordingly, the show had lame jokes and unnecessary side stories. Action scenes were also ruined because of short screen time which was unusual for a Marvel tv series.

9. That 80’s show (2002)

That ’80s Show is an American sitcom set in 1984 that aired from January to May 2002. Unfortunately, the sitcom did not have the charm for it to be successful.

8.  Insatiable (2018-2019)

Insatiable is an American dark comedy-drama television series created by Lauren Gussis, starring Dallas Roberts and Debby Ryan.

This tv series hit the screen on Netflix last 2018. You may have heard of the drama and maybe have watched it too. Unfortunately, viewers and critiques think that the series gave out mixed feelings and messages regarding body images and advocacy because of the main character’s violent actions towards those around her.

There were also cringy plot lines that did not resonate with the viewers as well.

7. Rob (2012)

Rob is an American sitcom television series that premiered on CBS on January 12, 2012. Throughout the show, there were Mexican stereotype jokes which was not a great way to advertise the sitcom.

6. South Beach (2006)

South Beach is an American drama television series that aired on UPN from January 11 to February 22, 2006.

Viewers did not really understand the show and what it wanted to portray. Although it was advertised as a romance-drama series, it was weird that there are suddenly scenes that showed violence and criminals.

5. Knight Rider (2008-2009)

Knight Rider is an American action television series that follows the 1982 television series of the same title created by Glen A. Larson.

This tv show is top 5 of the top 20 worst tv shows of the century. The reboot did not resonate well with the viewers because of the mixed events it showed which led to its flop.

4. Cavemen (2007)

Cavemen is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from October 2 to November 13, 2007.  The plot wanted to portray how cavemen would live in modern times, however, viewers think they only used the sitcom to insert lines for racial prejudice.

3.  Fred: The Show (2012)

Fred: The Show is an American comedy television series, created by Lucas Cruikshank that originally aired on Nickelodeon, in the United States from January 16 to August 3, 2012.

Fred’s misadventures were actually quite annoying for the viewers, not only because of his high-pitched voice but because of the obnoxious character he has. Viewership then dropped in the first and only season.

2.  Work It (2012)

Number 2 on the list of ” Top 20 worst TV Shows in the Century ” is Work It.  Work It is an American television sitcom that ran on ABC from January 3 to January 10, 2012.

Most of the show focused on delivering cringe-worthy jokes and gender stereotypes, which of course, the American audience did not tolerate. After 2 weeks of being on screen, it was canceled. Yep, 2 weeks.

1.  Viva Laughlin (2007)

Making it to the worst tv show of the century, hitting the first spot is the tv show, Viva Laughlin.

Viva Laughlin is an American musical dramedy television series adapted by Bob Lowry and Peter Bowker (creator of the original series) from the popular BBC British serial, Blackpool, and taking its name from the latter program’s sequel, Viva Blackpool.

While Blackpool was well received by the British, Viva Laughlin however was a doomed show. It was canceled after 2 episodes because of its bad execution and its silly premise and rough dialogues.

What a legendary!
