The Documentary Series introduces the suspiciously missing case of Elisa Lam, a Canadian tourist and a Chinese. It all started on this viral video that shows a weird manner from the camera footage that she is currently staying at, the Cecil Hotel. This 21-year-old woman seemed paranoid and distressed inside the elevator for the first four minutes came from the camera footage. She keeps pressing the elevator buttons and looks so scared that she insists on hiding beneath the wall. She stays in Cecil Hotel due to her Los Angeles leg for her West Coast trip last January 31, 2013. Sadly, it is known to be a notorious crime for the woman’s disappearance. It was reported missing when Lam failed to check out from her room on February 1, 2013. She had been escorted out from her taping earlier before the incident happened because of her strange behaviour. At the hotel, Amy Price, the manager, decided to move Lam into another private room as she had been disturbing the nearby rooms. When the police find out that some of her personal identification belongings are still in her room, they search every part of the hotel with the dogs combing the streets. Weeks after, guests complained about the low pressure on the water and the clouded water coming out from their taps. The hotel staff checked on the hotel’s roof on the water tank and, just by surprise, saw the floating naked dead body of Lam inside. By now, it is still a mystery even though the case has been closed and stated that the cause of death is due to drowning with bipolar disorder. 

Next is Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM), characterized as one of the neurologic illnesses by limb weakness. The case was first identified in 2014 in public origin in the United States. Although it is known to be a rare condition, still an unsolved case, what and where is the main root of it in our body. The first symptoms may include sudden weakness of the legs arms, loss of muscle tone and reflexes. This condition targets mainly young children. However, doctors were still unsure if an infection might cause this with a type of virus called an enterovirus. It is still not clear why people with enterovirus develop this such illness. 

Onto the third one, we have the sickening noises happening in Havana that these two CIA officers reported nausea, headache and dizziness. As the week went by, it reached out to 26 Americans and 13 Canadians affected. They explained that their symptoms were triggered by a strange and loud noise they usually heard at their homes. The other described it as a beam sound and just a high-pitched voice. Some find the mysterious sounds to be opening shots in a new kind of a cold war. Up until now, the case has no definite thought about what happened in 2016. 

The unsolved case from the Boeing 727 aircraft in the United States was hijacked by D.B Coopera media tag referring to an unidentified man. He was a passenger on Northwest Airlines Flight 305, boarding from Portland to Seattle. He was described as a casual man. After the takeoff, he just handed a note to one of the flight attendants but ignored it. He returned then told the attendant, “Miss, you’d better look at that note, “I have a bomb.” Those were the exact words written on the note. He demanded $200,00 and four parachutes from the attendant, which the captain and airline’s president cooperated with. The plane landed in Reno right after in Nevada. Cooper’s absence in the plane was noted, and he never heard from him again. No parachute has been found, and even the ransom money was never used.

The next mystery happened in the region of West Virginia. A tragic fire incident happened before the night of Christmas. Five out of the ten Sodder children were alive, and the remaining five vanished into thin air. There is no evidence in the ruins of the fire from the children, so it’s possible they disappeared. A woman stated that she saw these five missing children from a passing car while the fire was ongoing in the house. Quite strange.

In 2008, a tragic crime story was brought by Christine Collins that her son, Walter, went missing in their home in Los Angeles. Five months after the investigation, the police brought “Walter” to Christine, but she knew that this was not her son. The police decided to dismiss the case and told Christine that her son was. The boy of Walter was not found anymore after the issue and did not pay any justice. 

The Kryptos is an ancient Greek word that means “secret” or “hidden”. The artist of this sculpture is an American artist named Jim Sanborn, located on the grounds of the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, Virginia. The statue contains over 1,800 characters which are encrypted with different messages. Only 3 of them have only been resolved among the said characters, and the remaining remains unsolved. 

In the year 1977, Jerry Ehman, who is an astronomer, used a radio signal detector device from Ohio State University for him to be able to scan the constellation of stars around Sagittarius. He gathered a radio frequency that sums up a 72-second recording. He described it as if it came from deep outer space. Moreover, the speculations from the record have been unsolved if it’s either a theory from 2017 that it is just a pair of passing comets across our planet or some unknown creature people have believed over the years, an alien.
