is everything you’d expect from a typical isekai anime, except that the hero is a smartphone.
The series is chock-full of fantasy action and typical anime archetypes, from a strong leading character to beautiful women surrounding an unsuspecting and blatantly oblivious “average high school boy.”
The plot is about an average kid who dies in a freak accident, only to be resurrected as a superhero with superhuman powers and a smartphone.
Consider this anime a guilty pleasure if you enjoy fantasy-harem!
Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni was underrated, and it most likely would have been so because they only animated the first few parts of the original plot, which was the buildup of every great thing Touya will achieve later on. It’s still in need of a second season.
Season 1, which followed the novel’s story closely, was not well-received by fans since the characters didn’t grow as they did in the book, turning it into a generic harem-comedy with isekai elements.
The pacing was also incorrect. Season 1, though, ended on a positive note with the revelation that the program’s generic nature was over.

Release Date
Season 2 of Isekai Wa Smartphone To Tomo Ni has yet to receive an announcement regarding its release.
It isn’t clear whether or not the series will continue. That is to say, we can expect the series to resume by late-2022 to mid-2023 if the show does return.
Isekai Wa Smartphone To Tomo Ni Season 2 has only one season as of October 2020. Production Reed, a studio that has produced anime like Nijiro Days, Blue Seed, Hand Maid May, Bakuretsu Hunters, Earthian, and other shows, created the anime.
Despite the fact that Isekai Wa Smartphone To Tomo Ni was not particularly popular, the light novel has over 100 million views on its official website and is adored by devotees!
With fans showering their love on the light novel and an abundance of material ready to be translated, a second season is likely.
What to Expect from Season 2
Season 1 adapted the first three novels of the light novel and contained 12 episodes. If the production schedule remains the same, Season 2 will cover books 4 through 7, with 12 episodes in all.
The big reveal at the conclusion of the first season is that Regina Babylon, a professor who lives in what was formerly known as the Endicott Estate, constructed nine flying structures about 5,000 years ago.
Regina had clairvoyance and foresaw that a person like Touya would appear and that he would have nine wives. That’s why she built nine gynoids female humanoid robots like Francesca to handle the airborne islands.
The anime adaptation’s first season has a lot of dangling plot lines. In the following film, fans may watch Touya and his flock fight against Fraze with their enormous mecha.
Smartphone Isekai Wa To Tomo Ni
When God accidentally kills Touya, he offers him one chance to live again in a fantasy realm.
Touya joyfully accepts the invitation, and his one desire is for his smartphone to stay with him throughout his adventure into this strange world.
