Is Yona of the Dawn Season 2 Confirmed? 

Fans have been anticipating the second season of Yona of the Dawn ever since the final episode of the first season. Are we getting it soon?

The anime Yona of the Dawn is based on the manga created and illustrated by Mizuho Kusanagi, and it has been years since the final episode of the first installment.

In 2014-2015 for 24 episodes and had three original video animation specials going into 2016, but it hasn’t been heard of ever since.

The main character of this anime series is Yona, a princess. Yona of the Dawn is a shoujo anime targeted at female viewers.

The story follows the life of Yona, the only heir of the Kouka Kingdom. As the story went on, there was a sudden murder of the king and the betrayal of her beloved cousin that changes the life of Yona.

Forbidden to marry her crush Su-Won, the son of her father’s brother, Yona doesn’t realize her kingdom is about to experience a violent political coup. This causes her to run away with her friend Son Hak and later on learn the unsavory truth about the kingdom she thought was flourishing.

In Season 2, we might expect that Yona should get back to the realm of Kouka to deliver her retribution, and the yellow mythical beast fighter to have some sort of extraordinary force that will be significant to the story.

Though, until we have a confirmation that Season 2 will happen, we cannot know what the real plot will be.

Yona of the Dawn Season 2: Release Date

Although there have been rumors going around that Yona of the Dawn Season 2 is coming soon, there is no official word yet on a future second season of the series.

While it is not unusual for anime series to have multiple year-long hiatuses, it has been a long time already to announce any official announcement. Usually, the longer the anime goes without a renewal, the lower its chances of returning.

Even some reports have mentioned that if the anime does not have a renewal by 2021 or 2022, fans might not see a second season in light.

The first season of Yona of the Dawn can be seen on Hulu dubbed in English or subbed in English.

The experienced voice actor Monica Rial plays the title character, Yona herself. Christopher R. Sabat plays Son Hak, while Clifford Chapin plays Yun, Micah Solusod plays Su-Won, and Ian Sinclair plays Gija.

After a long hiatus, it isn’t easy to know who will be voicing the characters again if ever there will be Yona of the Dawn Season 2. 

We can wait for the official list and significant changes after the showrunners officially announce that there will b season two of Yona of the Dawn. 

However, it’s still too early to know what casting issues the producers may encounter in the series.

Hopefully, fans will hear soon one way or the other.
