What Is Chucky?
Toymaker Goose is back for another round of terror in the small town, and he’s brought his famous homicidal Good Guy doll with him. When the lights go down, it’s always good to get comfortable.
The plastic maniac will face teenagers this time around, having been purchased at a yard sale by unfortunate 14-year old Jake Webber. Jake, a 16-year-old gay boy already suffering at the hands of his peers and recently losing his mother, finds himself in danger after accepting a strange doll. Expect more of the same from the cult-classic hero, with a sprinkling of adolescent drama and anguish.
The TV series, which will premiere next month on HBO, has two main plotlines that all intertwine. Here’s the show’s official description –
Chucky Season 1 Cast
Brad Dourif reprises his role as Chucky, a.k.a. Charles Lee Ray, who is trapped in a doll and is now known as the Cult of Chucky. We can anticipate seeing many recurring characters, both friends and foes, as Arthur is a relative newcomer to the franchise. Nica Pierce and Tiffany Valentine, played by Fiona Dourif and Jennifer Tilly, respectively, are the lead characters in this supernatural thriller based on a true story.
Guest star Andy Barclay, who starred in the original film as well as its sequel, will return alongside his foster sister Kyle ( Christine Elise McCarthy ). The evil dragon lady will be joined by Tio Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Devon Sawa, Lexa Doig, and Barbara Alyn Woods in the cast.
